Purpose:

The California Farmland Conservancy Program seeks to encourage the long-term, private stewardship of agricultural lands through planning and the voluntary use of agricultural conservation easements. The CFCP provides grant funding for easement and planning projects that support agricultural land conservation statewide.

The California Farmland Conservancy Program seeks to encourage the long-term, private stewardship of agricultural lands through planning, the voluntary use of agricultural conservation easements and improvements on the property that make agricultural more valuable. The CFCP provides grant funding for easement, planning and improvement projects that support agricultural land conservation statewide.

Matching Funding Requirement:

Must provide at least 5% of the value of the grant or a landowner donation of not less than 10% of the fair market value of the easement. Combinations of donations and match must be at least 10% of the value of the easement. Up to 50% of the stewardship endowment contribution may be applied toward the match requirement.
