Purpose:

This program provides financial assistance in the form of reimbursement grants up to $500,000 to help public entities accelerate the pace of cleanup, restore sites, and turn today's problems into tomorrow's opportunities.

Description:

Eligible applicants include public entities, including counties, cities, districts, state agencies, and Joint Powers Authorities. 

Eligible projects include solid waste cleanup project sites where cleanup is needed to protect public health and safety and/or the environment within the applicant’s jurisdiction.

Projects serving disadvantaged communities receive additional scoring points.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible Applicants:

California Labor Code section 1782 will prohibit charter cities from receiving state funds or financial assistance for construction projects if those cities do not comply with sections 1770-1782 of the Labor Code.    Eligible applicants include public entities, including counties, cities, districts, state agencies, and Joint Powers Authorities.
