Song-Brown Certified Nurse Midwifery programs (CNM)
Details
Purpose:
The Song-Brown program funds institutions that train primary care health professionals to provide healthcare in California’s medically underserved areas.
Description:
Pursuant to the Song-Brown Health Care Workforce Training Act (Song-Brown Act), Health & Safety Code Sections 128200, et. seq., the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) will consider applications to support the training of Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM).
Eligibility Requirements
Eligible Applicants:
- Business
- Nonprofit
- Public Agency
Each CNM training program approved for funding must be operated by an accredited California school of nursing and approved by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or must be authorized by the Regents of the University of California or by the Trustees of the California State University, or must be approved by the Board of Registered Nursing.
Eligible Geographies:
All approved programs must be located within California.
